Jim is right. Check also to see if the antenna wire is still hanging down from the back of the unit. Also unplug it and replug it back in after a minute in case it needs to reset after a lightning strike or something. Also the contacts in those remotes go bad. Check to see if the light comes on when you press it but I have one that has to be squeezed hard and it still don't have the range that it used to. See if it works close under the opener. Sam's had some replacements for about 12 bucks that matched the old dip switch style which are hard to find replacements for. The new ones work great and my old ones just kind of lost their range. They started out working a half block away and slowly got to where they didn't hardly work in the driveway. Let us know what you find out.
