your attitude. You can, with a little help from your friends (including all of your new ones on this board), do a lot of your own repairs. Re-screening is a relatively inexpensive and easy to learn repair. Take a screen down and take it over to the hardware store or homecenter and tell them you want them to show you the tools and materials you need to do this and to explain how it is done. Home repair books are helpful and there are your library if you don't want to purchase, and they won't give you any grief over at Home Depot if you just look thru their line of home repair books. You can probably find a good explanation with pictures of these repairs on the web. Look thru Google and good luck, Kizmet.
