Amana Icemaker

Posted by Jeff Stettler on January 5th, 2000 08:44 PM

I have an Amana model TX20ML refrigewrator(1989)with an icemaker that quit.
No water is getting into the icemaker. There are 6 points on the icemaker
module where voltage/resistance measurements can be taken.
Where can I find out what the readings should be so I can
tell if the unit is bad? Since the problem could also
be in the water solenoid/water valve,I measured the voltage
at the water valve solenoid and it measured 28 volts.
Is this what it should be or should it be 110 volts?
I measured the resistance of the water valve solenoid
and it was 347 ohms. Does this sound correct? Any help you
can give on this problem would be appreciated. Thanks.
