A tough one, Tom. My catalogs show a 3hp Ingersol-Rand single stage for 230 one phase putting out 6.6 ACFM @ 90 psi. A 4 horse Campbell Hausfeld 2 cyinder has a max of 125 psi and will give you 7.9 SCFM at 40 psi and 6.4 SCFM at 90 psi. The Sanborn Manufacturing compressors were made in Springfield, MN and I'm not sure of their current status. You probably can rewire or have rewired the motor to 110 and this is pretty simple to do. It will run better on the 220, if you have it.
For a neat way to set up your compressor and to keep water out of the hose, check out http://www.woodweb.com/cgi-bin/forums/wnw.pl?read=78485 . The cooler system (trash can and ice water) works great for occasional use, particularly on hot, humid days. Keep your air lines clean and dry. You can't have too many traps and dryers.
