I've layed concrete before, but I'm not hot on the finishing. My garage is 36X25 and I split it into three pours. I could only get one other guy on the first pour and it was a BEAR!!! The other two pours I had two other helpers and it went pretty good. If you decide to do it yourself, I would really recommend splitting it up, it would have killed me to pour it all at once with only one other guy. You would need a bunch of guys to do that much at once. I think it worked out better anyway because I poured it in 25X12 sections. After the first pour, I cut that section into three pieces. Then put in an expansion and poured the next piece, again cutting into three additional pieces. Same thing on the thrid section. So I basically have 9 8X4 sections. Has a winter on it and not a single crack so I'm pleased.
