Hi Dan, I agree completely with mongo on this. Collect as much information as possible using a tape measure and level and perhaps a framing square to understand the problem, then confront the builder with your findings in a formal letter. If the doors are not square and plumb they are NOT installed to industry standards (however your builder may define them). You want the builders attention, contact the local building department (responsible for inspections) and let them know the doors are not installed ocrrrectly. In many states (notably California) you can file complaints with the state licensing board. They will ususally investigate a licensed contractor and will work to resolve a dispute alleging poor workmanship or breach of contract.
