I have a picture frame that I purchased and it has the aged look (grey and washed out). I want to build a mantle and also a book shelf to correspond with this picture frame. What chemicals can I use to get the same effect as the picture frame? Also is there a particular type of wood that I need to use that will take the look of the aged or driftwood look?
