Age old trick (maybe worth a try).

Decades ago when I was a young pup (instead of an old dog - Jay J?) and worked in the local
grocery store we'd have to make price changes on the fly (didn't have UPC codes then). What
we used to remove the ink from cans, plastic bags, etc. was simply hairspray. It's amazing
how easily hairspray will dissolve ink so that it can be easily wiped away with a cloth.
One disclaimer! I've never personnally tried it on furniture so I have no idea what it
would do to the finish, and definetly DO NOT have any flame or lite cigarrete
going when spraying the hairspray. That's how we used to start the incenerator to burn the
cardboard boxes.
