Hi Jay & Steve....hope all is well. I told ya I'd be back with more questions, well, here goes: the previous owner of the house that I bought textured all the ceilings. Am not sure what the material is...looks sort of like spackle, or plaster. Not shiney (sp?), but matt colored. Well, at first, I thought that I could live with it, but now I'm thinking maybe not. Can the textured material be removed without having to replace the whole entire ceiling? I've been told different things about whether or not this is a realist thing that can be done. If it can be done, who does this type of work? Painters, or drywall guys? I'd like to try and make a decision while the house is still empty. I know that I can always have the ceilings repainted, but for some strange reason I'd really rather try and get the stuff off. It's a bit much overkill in every room....

As before, thanks in advance for all the help.

Barb...previously known as Painter Barb.
