adding molding after pulling up carpet?

Posted by Kimberly S on March 14th, 2003 09:08 AM

I just pulled up the carpet in my master bedroom. The floor looks fine, but the walls don't go all the way down to the floor - parts of the wall under the molding were obviously removed to make room to install the carpet. I now have an inch-high gap above the floor around the entire circumference of the room.

What do I need to do now? Is there a type of small molding strips that I can glue or nail onto the molding that is there, or insert under the molding? I've tried searching the web and places like Home Depot but all I can find is ceiling molding, outdoor molding, or tile molding, none of which are appropriate.
