We have just had an acrylic bathtub liner installed over our 30 year old metal tub by a "Bathfitter" franchise. The job looks very nice but I notice that the bottom of the tub liner is not in solid contact with the original tub bottom. When standing in the tub you can feel a slight depression of the liner floor. Pressing hard on the bottom of the liner it appears to deflect about 1/8" to 1/4" before firmly contacting the original tub. My concern is
whether over the long term the repeated flexing will cause the acrylic liner
to crack? Anyone have experience with this type of installation?
