The larger the unit the less time it will be required to run to cool the house but this can be a bad thing. To remove the humidity the AC needs to run a longer period of time than to cool your house. Have you contractor/salesperson perform a survey and size it according to industry standards. This survey will include insulation, window, orientation etc.
