Yes that can cause a problem. Especially if they are under pressure. Abs glue is specifically designed to work with plastics made from styrene, where-as pvc glue for vinal plastics. There is no structural strength in the use of abs glue on pvc. This is not to say that the glue might hold in the short term. But in the long run its subject to failure.
