Carl, Unless I have been doing this wrong, if you have done ceramic, there is not much different in installing granite. Granite is thicker, and cannot be cut using a scoring tool, you will need a water cooled diamond tile saw. Also the finished edges need to be ground down and polished. The thinsets and backerboard are identical. I usually leave a small 1/8" grout line (dime spacer) and color to match.
