Don't hesitate to ask your Home Inspector this same question. (I hope you have one. It's not that often people spent 10's of thousands, even 100's of thousands of dollars on 'something', and not get a professional opinion for $2-300 bucks.)

As for specifically answering your question, I only like them for unfinished basements, below grade. (And the basement may only have a sump pump, a washer, and/or a wash tub. Mine does have sewer drain pipes under the cement but that's it.) I like working with a wood floor because it's less messy and less costly to do things. That's just my $.02.
