I didn't catch ion your message where you said that you wanted to change the color of the stucco. Fogging it may not work to change the color. (It always helps to re-read a message two or three times.........hehehehe)
Really the only options you may have is to paint it (ech!) or do a "re-stucco" (re-scrub in the trade).
If you decide to re-scrub the stucco you may need to scrape it down first. Go to the mason's supply yard and order a "angle plane". This think will scrape the rivits off a ship!
Once the wall has been scraped down (not really a hard thing to do) you can then give the walls a new coat of stucco.
If the texture is particularly deep you may need to apply a new base coat over it first. This entails applying about 1/4 inch or so of Portland Cement (and sand with lime) over the walls to straighten them out. Then you can apply the stucco over this new (and very straight) wall.
Please. Before painting your stucco (with anything) give it carefull concideration to do a re-scrub. Once you paint stucco it looses a lot of its insulating and other properties. And re-scrubing is really the proper way to change the color of a stuccoed house.
