Michael, even the word "epoxy" has it's variations. There is the epoxy that is in Bondo, Minwax wood filler and available commercially that starts from polyesther resin. This is a good product and automotive body panel were made from it. But there is a better kind of epoxy available which is a true epoxy and has an unpronounceable chemical name. An example of this is the West System that Norm used to build the sailboats. The true epoxy is several times the cost and several times the strength of the polyesther resin based epoxy. You might ask a potential refinisher what kind of epoxy is going to be used.
