"trapped" lines

I was made aware of this same thing while building my house in Mass. If these pipes are exposed, your plumber can put in a "bleeder coupling", which is a brass coupling with a bleeder on it, that way you can drain those spots if need be. If these pipes are not exposed, your plumber needs to be creative as to how repipe these so these "traps" are no longer an issue.
