Get three bids then you can see what is going on with them.

go down a neighboor hood and look for homes being roofed and look at the job being done and the cleanup.

Call the BBB on roofers and find ones with complaints.

Things to look for. I hate my asphalt shingles to be mechanically nailed down. I like mine with four nails and my hand.

I want to be able to personally check with my contractor the decking once the old is removed. Leave the bid or contract open for replacement of decking if needed.

Remember on comp shingles, your home will only carry two layers.

Normally when getting a new roof, the always or normally install new wind turbines and paint all stacks.

Make sure that new roof edging is being installed. And make sure that if gutters damaged, they will replace them. Take pictures of before and after.

Make sure that they do a good magnetized nail and debris pickup.

Make sure that someone on the job speaks English.

Make sure you understand the throat pattern.
