Hi Steve, The idea of planing a "V" ( or shanfer on
the edge of the ply is for two things, one,you can
but filler in and it wont come out when/if there's
any movement between the panels ( like when some one
walks on the edge, two. if there is a differants in
the sunb floor you wont get a step so when you sand
the joint, your floor is smooth, ( may not be flat )
but suitable for laying tiles over it....John 2000
