Hi, William,
ok, your problem is easy to get over,.( with or with out
a hammer ) lol.
lay your boards down as tight as you can by hand
I hope you have taken the skirting off ( plinth)
now you wil have some waste off cuts ( I hope) with
the off cuts you can cut out wedges, ?
they should be about 6-8ins long .
when you lay the last board down ( remember to make the floor
with masking tape ( painters use it ), fix the tape
where the joists are but on the new boards that are
already down, ( this is so you will know where the
joists are when you fix the last board.
now cut the last board about 1/4in from the wall
you then insert the wedges and tap then between the
wall and your board. when they are tight ( as you want them tobe)
nail the board down where you have the tape,
It's as simple as that.
have fun..
