"canvassing" plaster

Posted by Jeremy Taylor on September 24th, 2000 07:44 PM

I recently bought a 150 year old home, with plaster walls. The walls are pretty much in good shape, excluding the bumps and brusies 150 years can bring. The Previous owners had a caople of the rooms "canvased" with some sort of paintable wall paper, The paper has no pattern, and the walls with the paper are very smooth compared to those without. I want to paper the other walls, but I'm having a problem finding the materials. All of the paintable papers I've seen have a pattern, I just want flat. The Nu-Wall system looks good, but is a bit overkill as the walls are structurally sound, same goes for drywall overlay.
Any suggestions?
