"patching" small area on hardwood floor / polyurethane

Posted by Bob Garton, Jr on February 18th, 2003 08:59 PM

We have hardwood floors in an older home. We sanded & prepared the floors and coated them with three coast of poly a year ago when we bought the home. Now, there is one small 12x12 area where the poly is peeling and flaking... it is just this one small area that is in a traffic area. Am I able to "patch" this area by sanding and re-applying more poly over same area? I am not concerned with any color match, just want the glossy look back. Can you help?? Thank You.
