I personally would not use plastic but some do.

Keep in mind that the glue used to seal CPVC pipe will deteriorate if the clorine is 7 ppm or greater.

Copper is tried and true. Its been used for 100 years. CPVC is quick and easy. Thats why new home builders prefer it. You can choose the quick and easy method or the tried and true method. Its up to you.

I also don't know how well plastic can be connected to copper? I think you need to use a threaded connection.

Others may tell me I'm all wet, but think about the consequences of flooding.

I have a friend who's a plummer. He says he wouldn't use plastic in his dog house.
