'Changing' a natural gas line

Posted by Ed F on September 11th, 2000 01:59 PM

My home is serviced by natural gas, and in finishing the basement, I'd like to move one of the lines supplying my gas dryer. Because these are connected from point A->B->C->..., how do I 'break' into this string? After I shut-off the gas at the meter, can I just sawz-all a pipe? Are there any special tricks/concerns?

Thanks in advance
