I had a 1979 Detroiter mobil home that had bad walls and a bad ceiling do to the original design it was just a bad way to build.
as i started looking at it closely i found out that the floor was built first then everything was carpeted and then the walls were built ontop of the carpeted deck so the carpeting was actually under the bottom of the wall and had been pulling in moister over the years so the bottom of the walls were rotted out .
So i decided to Rebuild every thing from the the floor up and everyone told me it cant be done WRONG .
I now have solid floors again done in 3/4 plywood sheeting not partical board and solid walls framed out of 2x4,s and a full truss ceiling with R-50 insulation and since i did it all myself the cost wasnt bad just alot of work
I also have standard double pain windows and a standard insulated house door . If you need any help or ideas just E-mail me sincerly Richard
