5,000 watt Generator

Greetings A. Stein,

I would buy a used 5,000 watt generator or larger. There are plenty left over from the Y2K doomsday scare and they are going cheap.

I have one that is set up so if the power goes out, it will run the fridge, furnace, and, (it goes without saying), TV/Sat.

The main breaker must be off before I run this so I don't fry the guy working on the lines.

If you have the where with all, have an electrician figure all your needs and install one that would automaticaly come on even if you were not home.

I have seen quite a few being installed these days that run off natural gas.

I would buy a back-up sump pump before I needed one if I depended on one to protect my basement.
