48" hign fence

Thanks for the information. The fence is not for elephants, just an older horse. We did end up using concrete on the corner posts and the tamping 3/4 minus with fill in the other holes.The fence is not a solid wood fence...wood post then 3 "T" posts every 10' then another wood post. The posts packed with the 3/4 minus could be sturdier but I think will be OK for my purpose. I will be more than likely replacing it with a all wood but not solid (I think you call it Australian fence) in a few years when my brother who is out of the country comes back. He has been also advising me on this project..He knows fences. We pull the fence this weekend ( gave the posts time to set in cement. I guess we will see. Thanks for the comments to all. Shawna
