We have recently found and repaired rot on our old kitchen floor joists and main beam. We sistered joists where there was rot after cutting out the rot. We found rotted shims under the end of the main beam and upon trying to replace them this weekend, we found that we needed to replace the last 8' of the beam. We have already glued and pneu-nailed the flooring down, and now find that the floor is low between 3 of the joists. Should I pour concrete pads and permanently install floor jacks, or is there a better fix? We will be installing 3/4" T&G hardwood flooring as soon as we are able.
