Weather best is manufactured in a hollow core with grooves and a solid board with smooth finish top. Although the hollow core looks OK, I agree the pattern could be a problem. It is also difficult to install the hollow core because you have to terminate the ends to cover the channels.

My comments referred to solid composite boards. Another brand with good appearance is Fiberon which appears to retain a more permanent surface color.

If you are having problems with the product LP will back up the product. the biggest drawback is the soft weathered grey appearance it acquires. Call their customer service number for advise on surface restoration.
