Don't forget that kitchen outlets are required to be on 2 circuits with separate circuit breakers. They are usually wired so one breaker does half of the outlets and usually every other one.

Check to see if there is another tripped breaker. Sometimes they use separate sheathed electrical cable wire and somethimes they use a 12-3wire with ground nm-b which means both circuits are in the same non-metallic sheath (sheathed electrical cable) in the panel and one will have a black hot conductor wire and one will have a red hot conductor wire.
