1950'S CHROME EDGED LINOLEUM COUNTERTOP REPLACEMENT

HELP. We have a 1952 home that is a cross between craftsman and deco. We love the home's old fashion feel and try to keep everything we change in the era of the home. Our kitchen and bathroom countertops are linoleum edged in chrome (aluminum chanel?) and are in need of replacement due to water damage, fading and hot pans that have been placed on them over the years. We cannot find anyone who is skilled in this type of work and have about given up. Anybody out there who has done this type of kitchen and who can offer advice. Thank you in advance for your response!
