Have a 100 YO late victorian with original clapboard siding. I removed the siding to replace damaged, rotted, studs, and a couple of sills. Also sheathed the exterior with plywood.
The siding definitely has lead paint. I would like to re-use this original siding. I am considering having it dipped and stripped, but was wondering if there were a better method. I thought of heat and scraping myself, but the lead aspect bothers me.
I guess my question is what is the best lead paint removal method for siding. The wood is in EXCELLENT shape!
