Super-Efficient Space Heater

According to the U.S. Department of Energy, heating a single room with a space heater is sometimes much more efficient than heating an entire home with a gas furnace. And this makes even more sense if you use an Eco-heater, a unit that runs more than three times more efficiently than conventional space heaters, using a mere 400 watts compared to the standard 1,200 to 2,500 watts of most space heaters but still packing the same punch. Taking advantage of convection technology, 90 percent of the heat generated by the ECO-heater comes out the back of the unit, allowing it to rise and flow throughout the room naturally. Because so little heat (only 10 percent of the total output) is filtered through the front of the unit, it is safe to the touch. It is easily installed and the front can even be painted. The ECO-heater Web site has a list of dealers to find the retailer selling the Eco-Heater near you.

Also.. to save energy upgrade items such as water heaters, a/c units or gas packs, heat pumps, and even plumbing fixtures to conserve energy and water.
