Drill It Yourself

If your water bill is killing you every year, you may want to look into drilling your own well. Hydra-Drill from Deep Rock Manufacturing allows homeowners to drill their own well economically and without any previous well-drilling experience. With their own wells, homeowners can pump approximately 1,000 gallons of water for as little as 10 cents. The drill features a wide range of packages for drilling to different depths up to 300 feet. And don't worry; water is found at less than 300 feet in most places in the world. Homeowners should check with their local authorities to determine if well drilling is allowed on their property before starting, and water should be tested before drinking.

Wow - Hard to Use

Dave,

This looks pretty intimidating!!! Any idea on how steep the learning curve is? What about time commitment to run something like this? Is this only appropriate for those with advanced handyman skills?

According to their website, the drill requires no experience. Not sure how comfortable I would be doing it but that's what they claim on their site :-)
