Dangerous Drywall, Part Two

The case of the Chinese drywall keeps getting bigger and bigger. While the Sun Sentinel estimated it cost Miami home builder, Lennar Corp., $99,500 per house to fix the tainted drywall, a Florida politician estimated that 100,000 Florida homes may be facing similar problems. The USPSC has received more than 550 complaints about the drywall, which include a rotten egg smell and wiring corrosion. It is unclear where the manufacturing went wrong, but investigators are pursuing the matter.

I think this is awful for the builder thinking they had quality materials and the home owners who trusted the builder. Who is going to be held accountable for this terrible problem? The Chinese manufacture? Doubt it!

Tainted Drywall

Great Questions? The investigation will go on, but who will ultimately be responsible to pay out these millions of dollars?

I think in the end, the homeowner will still suffer and not recoupe what was paid.

There is simply no way to fix this situation than to start over. And there is no way the buyers are ever getting reimbursed. You should always trust in quality when it comes to your home.
