About 16,000 gas powered backpack blowers were recalled by ECHO, Inc., due to a fire hazard.
According to the CPSC recall page, the fuel line between the fuel tank and the carburetor can be damaged during assembly, which leads to fuel leakage and a fire hazard.
Fortunately there have not been any incidents or injuries reported. Two models of the ECHO 2-cycle gas powered backpack blowers were named in the recall. More info can be found on the CPSC recall page. Consumers who own one of the recalled blowers should stop using it immediately and contact ECHO for a free repair.
