When it comes to fossil fuels, natural gas is widely considered the cleanest. On average, an 1,800-square-foot home using natural gas will produce 46 percent less carbon emissions than electrical power. Now a group has formed to build awareness of this valuable resource. The Council for Responsible Energy has membership from 170 organizations representing 6.5 million households. They will have a booth at the International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas this week where they will launch their new Carbon Emissions Calculator, allowing consumers to see how much natural gas can reduce their carbon footprint.
We've been singing the praises of LEDs here at renovateyourworld.com for quite some time now. And for good reason; they are the most energy-efficient lighting product on the market. It's estimated that LEDs could reduce electrical consumption for lighting by 29 percent by the year 2025, saving U.S. households $125 billion on electric bills. And now LEDs will get the exposure they need at the International Builders' Show in Las Vegas this week where it will feature its new Down Light LED module for commercial and residential interior lighting. See the enLux Lighting Web site for more information or visit them in Booth S9516 (South Hall) at the show.
