My new disability project

My disability project

My wife and I bought our home in 1999. The home was built in 1927 and the second story was never finished. Just bare rafters, bare floor, no insulation. I became ill in 2002, and several months later on disability, I told my wife I was going to go crazy if I couldnt work, so she sent me to the local home improvement store where I purchased insulation, to begin my project. This turned into wiring the second story, replacing the old windows, drywalling and all of the necessary projects to finish our new living space. The illness I had and the resultant disability left me feeling cold all of the time, so I decided to invest in a gas stove to heat my new space. I did a lot of research into this project, and decide to purchase a stove and run the gas line myself. I had cut a hole into the chimney in the basement and ran a flexible gas line up the chimney and out the second story where I had drilled another hole, about 5 feet above the gas line I drilled out a 5 inch hole in the brick to vent my new fireplace out of when all of this work ws done, I had a certified installer, connect my gas line. and now I am able to enjoy some of the wisconsin winters again. Only now much of my time is spent in fron of my fireplace. Much of this work and research into this project was mad possible by Bob Vilas Fireplace Channel.
