Kitchen Islands

If you have the room for a kitchen island, there could be grand things in store. Sure, it's a great spot for extra counter space, as a homework area for the kids or to bridge the space between rooms, but today's island can be so much more. It can become the hub around which your lifestyle revolves. As you look through these images and plan your new island you should consider: Is there enough seating space? Is there room for drawers and doors to open? Could an area for chopping or food prep be of value? Do you want extra storage space? How do you want to use the island and what appliances and fixtures should it house?
