Painting Wallpaper
I want to paint the wallpaper in one of my bathrooms. Is it best to apply the paint with a brush, paint pad or roller? Is any certain kind of paint better for this application? It is always best to remove the wallpaper. This is because if the wallpaper peels in the future it will take the paint with it. But, if you want to paint over the wallpaper then I would first apply an oil-based primer. This will help with the adhesion and blocking out of the wallpaper color/design. After the oil-based primer has dried for at least 24 hours then I would apply a quality latex paint over top. You can apply by brush, roller or paint pad -- whatever is more comfortable for you.
